Usd Sway Allstar 2000 - Blue/Grey

  • Nils Jansons

USD All star 2000 skates are one of the two Sway models offered by the USD brand for summer 2022. Unlike the Pro Chris Farmer version, the Allstar 2000 are offered as complete set with wheels and frames. Ready to use out of the box, skates designed for skateparks as well as demanding street skating.

Visually the USD Allstar Sway closely resembles the very limited, first Pro model of Randy Spizer that was released only in Europe back in 2000. Original, navy and grey colour scheme with strong accent of orange laces. New Sways are unofficial successor of best-selling USD Classic Throne skates — so older fans of 90 nostalgia should be pleased!

USD Allstar Sway are all-purpose skates, based on hard shell construction. Streamline look on the outside, yet quite spacious inside. Wider shell makes it a good choice for people with wider feet. Equipped with all round USD Basic liners, that provides dual-size ranges. Created with thick foam will fill the shell completely, leaving no extra space. The toe area is finished with neoprene (both the bottom and the upper part) which greatly help with the right, individual adjustment. In addition, our ankle will be well protected thanks to sturdy 45 degree strap, which limits any unnecessary movement inside the skates. Screws used to mount the cuffs are also small yet very helpful detail when it comes to later customization or need of replacement.

The cuffs are further upgraded with small yet noticeable V-cut. Such solution helps with more range of front-back flex. The buckle is now made of aluminium for more durability, while the hidden slot in the back of the cuff can be used to hide the longer strap.

The essential new feature of USD Sway Allstar is the second generation of Sway soulplate, now with completely redesigned shape. This time the soulplate is slimmed down, making it more compact. The front part is now encircling the toe box completely, while low profile side walls perfectly matches the shell. Massive soul space is still a big feature. The contact area (with a ledge or a rail) is redesigned yet it does not make the whole skate so bulky as the previous edition.

The skate comes with Kizer Fluid V frames. Kizer Fluid V frames are the modern solution for aggressive skating with eight wheels down. Huge split between the middle wheels (around 11.6 CM), very shallow and small groove and so called ‘wheel cups’. ‘Wheel cups’ are simply extra material around the H-block area, protecting the middle wheels from any contact with a rail or a ledge. In practice, it means very low chance for ‘wheel bite’ while grinding.

Completed with proven USD wheels of 61 mm diameter and fast ABEC 7 Wicked bearings. The fact that we are getting full-fledged flat setup with eight wheels, makes the Allstar 2000 skates superb value for the money. Flat setup with slightly bigger 61 mm wheels will make our skating more dynamic and far more entertaining, especially for the beginners.

If you are a fan of USD brand yet can't squeeze into compact Aeon skates or the ‘carbon’ solutions simply does not meet your expectations, the USD Sway Allstar can be the golden mean. Versatile skates with classic design, that slowly becomes the favourite choice of USD team members.
