Rockin 5x80 (UFS) model is the most versatile variant of five-wheeled models made by German brand. It measures 324 mm, which compares roughly to 4x110mm setup. 80 mm wheels mean that you are still close to the ground, resulting in great level of control and helping on landings. Five wheels provide good, smooth roll, even though they are relatively small. In comparison to four wheel frames, these have more points of contact, giving you smoother transition when it comes to balancing on the rockering curve. The weight is placed mostly on two wheels at the time – while there are three possible pairs in case of four-wheeled frames, five-wheeled ones offer four. In addition, you can use middle wheel as a pivot point, which enhances agility of these frames even further.

The five wheel frames have them set up in a way which makes the middle one a lowest point. This makes it a pivot point allowing for greater level of manoeuvrability. Two outer wheels are placed a bit less than 2 mm higher in relation to middle one, whereas 2nd and 4th wheel a bit shy of 1 mm. In turn, “2 wheels touching the ground at the same time” rule applies here, too. In addition, all Rockin’ frames are designed to give you a bit of forward tilt, which makes them better suited for artistic type moves.

80 mm wheel diameter is the perfect middle ground between centre of gravity, manoeuvrability and speed. This makes Rockin’ 580 the most all-round frame of them all: freeskating, slide, pump track, skatepark, flowskating – the choice is yours!

Manufacturer recommends this model for boot sizes in between 280 mm and 300 mm, however they will fit all boots compatible with one of the two mounting standards.
