Designed in collaboration with FR Skates and Intuition Liners, the specialized inline skates are intended for the rapidly developing Wizard skating — a new style of inline skating that draws extensively from urban skating, aggressive, freestyle slalom, and even freestyle skiing or BMX flatland.
The Wizard Base/Wizard Base High inline skates feature a new shell and cuff made of carbon fiber, providing excellent responsiveness and support. Equipped with specially prepared Intuition 3M liners for this occasion. Pre-molded to 12 individual shell sizes, ensuring easier fitting for a wider range of users.
Features of the Wizard Base skates in Boot Only versionThe Wizard Base Black - Boot Only inline skates are aimed at users of Wizard NR and PR frames. The Wizard Base variant features a slightly lower cuff and increased flexibility in the front-back direction. The characteristics of the Wizard NR and PR frames mean that the Wizard Base variant is recommended for beginners and intermediate users.
Do the Wizard Base/Base High differ from previous versions of Wizard skates? If you have experienced the original model of Wizard skates based on the Seba UFS carbon shell, you will feel right at home! Since the Wizard Base skates have the same version of the dedicated Intuition 3M liner as the first models of Wizard skates, it is recommended to choose exactly the same size for optimal fitting. New users are advised to carefully check the size chart to find the right length for their foot.
For the Wizard Base High variant, you get the same shell but with additional material above the cuff. The total height difference between Base and Base High is about 3 cm.
Wizard Base Black - Boot Only – worth knowingAccording to Wizard project creator Leon Basin, our skates should fit much more snugly than our standard footwear.
For the best fit and overall skating experience with Wizard skates, your skates should fit as close as possible to your foot. Eliminating any foot movement inside the boot will result in efficient energy transfer, which will help maximize your control over larger wheels or longer frames, characteristic of Wizard skating.
Toes should be very close to or lightly touching the end of the liner. For comfort, you can move your toes as long as the rest of the foot does not move inside the shell.
To minimize potential pressure points or discomfort, or to leave a bit more room for insoles or thicker socks, choose a size range closest to your foot measurement in CM or up to 0.5 cm longer. For most people, this will result in a skate fit about half a size smaller than the size of your everyday shoes.
Size selection for advanced and experienced skatersToes should touch the end of the liner, even with some pressure, as long as they are laid flat (not curled).
To optimize control and response speed of our skates, choose a size closest to your foot dimension in CM or up to 0.5 cm smaller. For most people, this will result in a skate fit about 1 size smaller than the size of your everyday shoes.
